I wrote this poem and I would like to know what do you think
My heart had never known true love
Until god sent you to me from above
I realized that love is not what is seems
I shouldn’t hesitate or go to extremes
When love is true you want to go steady
And most of all make sure you are ready
For the journey of love has to be rough
Still, those in love can never get enough
My every heart beat speaks your name
And I wish to be near you again
You know they’ll try to keep us apart
But, I swear you are forever in my heart
The very thought of you fills me with joy
Not money or gifts, it is YOU I enjoy
Sometimes I wonder if it is too much to ask
For a loving heart and a cheering smile
For a warm look once in a while
The facts of life are awfully harsh
You will remain the brightly shining star in my atmosphere
and I will surely get burnt every time I try to come near
