I thought I'd write this topic here because few of us know about the forth state of matter, plasma.
Facts about plasma:
Plasmas have a very great impact on our everyday life. and we don't know what it is *e
Plasmas are estimated to constitute more than 99 percent of the known universe! #t
Plasmas will be used in the most promising energy source of the future, fusion.
So, what is plasma?
If we put the three states of matter we know in order, we put them like this: solid, liquid, gas. How would plasma fit in there?
Many people think that it should be like this: solid, plasma, liquid, gas.
This is WRONG! It’s actually like this: solid, liquid, gas, and then plasma.
Yet again, what is plasma?? *e
Plasma is a gas that contains electrically charged particles, enough charged particles to significantly affect its electrical properties and behavior. Plasma is created when sad atoms are "ionized" or broken into positively charged parts (ions) and negatively charged parts (electrons).
