He felt lonely for the tenth time this day. Every thing was going wrong. He shouted at every one that stood in his face. He spilled his coffee on an important report that he was going to hand to the teacher today. and finally, his sweet heart didn’t even bother to call him today, and it was his birthday!!
She said that she loved him and that she always cared about his feeling. Well, how should he feel right now ? I gnored,miserable,lonely and un-loved by everyone. That’s what she did to him by forgetting his birthday.
The door opened and his younger brother came in.” why are you looking so sad? Has some one died?” his brother Ali asked.” yes” answered Mohammed. “my heart!!” Ali laughed sheepishly and sat on the bed. Mohammed looked at him tiredly and asked him” what do you want?” “nothing!” said Ali “ I just came to wish you a happy Birthday and give you this” he handed him a big parceled box.
“what’s this” I’m not in the mood for one of your prunks. said Mohammed. Ali laughed he artily and acted as if he got a shot at the heart. “you hurt my feeling brother, I want to the mall and bought you a gift, and what do I get from you? Not even a thanks ”Mohammed sighed and said “thank you Ali , but I really want to be alone right now,!! “OK, I’ll leave you alone ”said Ali and he went out of the room.
Mohammed went back to his dark thoughts.
he fell in love with her five years ago. Never in those years had she forgotten his birthday; not even once. How could she forget it now? She didn’t even call!! And he doesn’t remember them fighting lately. Could she still be angry from their last fright two months ago? His head was going to explode, so he decided to go to sleep.
He tried and tried but he just couldn’t stop him self thinking. His eyes fell on the box that his brother brought him and he smiled. What could that evil have gotten him? He thought and went for the box. He opened it with an interest look and he was surprise even shocked to find red roses, a box of expensive chocolate. When did his brother become so romantic? Mohammed thought . he found a letter (not a card) beside the flowers and picked it up. The letter said:
Hi sweet heart,
This is my gift for you birthday. I can’t call you today because I have to go to a funeral with my family, and I sent this box with your brother Ali. I want you to know that I love you so much.
